This page explains how My Options Wheelhouse uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. My Options Wheelhouse is a registered business name of Poptions Network Pty Ltd (ACN 677 346 048).

We have kept this in plain language. If anything is unclear, you are welcome to contact us using the details at the bottom of the page.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember things between pages or between visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do much the same job. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are optional, and we only use those if you agree to them.

Our approach

We do not load any optional cookies until you have told us we can. The first time you visit, you will see a banner where you can accept or reject each category of optional cookies. Nothing optional runs before you choose, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time, which is explained under Controlling cookies below.

We do not sell your data. We do not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies. We may use them in future, for example if we run ads on social media. If we do, they will sit in the Marketing category described below, switched off by default, and they will run only if you choose to turn them on.

The cookies we use

Essential cookies. These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They include cookies set by our website platform, systeme.io, which hosts and serves the site, and a small record of your cookie choice so we do not have to ask you again on every page. These do not track you and do not require your consent.

Analytics cookies (optional). If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through the site, for example which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. This helps us improve the site. These cookies load only after you accept analytics in the banner. If you reject, Google Analytics does not load and sets nothing at all. Google Analytics is provided by Google, and you can read how Google handles this data in Google's own privacy resources.

Marketing cookies (optional). We do not use any at the moment. We have included this category so that if we later add advertising or retargeting tools, for example a social media pixel that measures whether an ad led to a purchase, they will be controlled here. This category is switched off by default. Nothing runs in it unless we have added such a tool and you have chosen to turn it on.

Payments. When you buy a book, payment is handled by Stripe through Stripe's secure checkout. Stripe may set cookies that are needed to process the payment and to prevent fraud. These are essential to completing a purchase. You can read Stripe's privacy information on Stripe's website.

Controlling cookies

You are in control in three ways.

First, the banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or reject the optional categories.

Second, you can reopen your choices at any time using the cookie icon in the corner of any page. If you withdraw consent there, the page will reload and the affected cookies will stop running.

Third, your web browser lets you block or delete cookies for any website. Note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working as intended.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top. Any new optional cookies, including anything added to the Marketing category, will always be switched off by default and will only run if you choose to turn them on.
